Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead

About the Show

The Studio Theatre Secondstage’s 2005-2006 season will close with a hot new show straight from New York: Bert V. Royal’s Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, an unauthorized parody of America’s favorite comic strip. Now that he’s hit puberty, C.B. has to face a whole new set of problems. His beloved beagle has rabies, and his friend Van has turned into a stoner who will smoke anything — including his old security blanket. C.B.’s sister, the only member of their high school drama club, has taken up performance art, and the girl who was his nemesis as a child has become a pyromaniac. And now, C.B. might just be falling for an old friend-that brooding musician with the ear for classical music. The Artistic Director of The Studio Theatre Secondstage directs an exciting ensemble full of fresh young faces in a production featuring original underscoring, music by a local band, and live songs performed by the cast.
