About This Show

Entering its third year, dccomedyfest specializes in bringing the hottest, cutting-edge stand-up, sketch, short-film and improv comedy from throughout North America to multiple venues in the DC Metro area.

Acts selected include: DC’s own Last Comic Standing finalist, Rob Cantrell; Stephen Colbert’s “black friend” from The Colbert Report, Jordan Carlos; Chicago’s famed Annoyance Theater performing their hit show President Bush is a Great Man; performers from this year’s HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and many, many more.

Shows include official auditions for The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; a short comedy film contest and awards show sponsored by CollegeHumor.com; the Queer Comedy Corner sponsored in association with OneInTen.org; New York’s 4 Shades of Black; The Weird Show (’nuff said); and the fest’s first ever Political Comedy Convention featuring a rapid-fire line-up of stand-up and sketch political comedy from around the country.
