The Catalyst Theater Company presents Caryl Churchill’s Cloud 9, a wild, gender-bending farce that compares human relations in British colonial Africa in the 1870s, with London a century later. is brilliant play, by one of contemporary theater’s leading experimenters, takes a laceratingly funny look at the cruelty and absurdity of convention. Director Halo Wines appeared in the play’s area premiere as a company member at Arena Stage. The cast features Catalyst artistic associates Jesse Terrill, Dan Via and Ellen Young alongside Bill Gillett, George Grant, Tricia McCauley and Elizabeth Richards.
