About the Show

BUSHWA, A Modern Ubu, by John Morogiello, is Ubu Roi re-imagined to skewer a certain American President. They called the “pointless, unrelenting violence” of the original Ubu “surreal.” Sounds real to us! Washington City Paper declared Morogiello’s last play “an uproarious evening” and an “elaborate intellectual joke;” the Washington Post raved “brilliantly zany” and “enchantingly kooky.”

Contains profanity.

This world premiere is part of the Capital Fringe Festival.
