A Concert Tribute to Rodgers & Hart

Hollywood songwriting legends Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart starting writing musicals together while they were still students at Columbia University. They relocated to Hollywood in 1930 but returned to New York in 1935, marking the beginning of their most prolific work period. From 1936 to 1943 they penned a series of extremely popular Broadway shows including Babes in Arms, Pal Joey and A Connecticut Yankee. Popular songs from these
and other shows and film scores include “The Lady is a Tramp,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World,” “Wait Till You See Her,” “Where Or When,” “Isn’t It Romantic” and “Blue Moon.” Lorenz Hart died in 1943 and soon after Richard Rodgers began his fifteen-year collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein.
