Mike Ferry is an internationally-known fiddler, songwriter, author, and teacher who lives in the Richmond, VA area. He has performed both as a solo artist and as a member of classical, pop rock, alt-country, Irish traditional, and liturgical ensembles. His work has been featured in the Washington Post, Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Newsmax, Good Morning America, Irish Music Magazine, Virginia This Morning (CBS 6), Richmond Times-Dispatch, Virginia Currents (WCVE), Spin Magazine, and radio shows and podcasts around the world. Some of his compositions have appeared in national television programs including “Dawson’s Creek” and “The Real World.” As a performer, Mike has toured throughout the United States and has shared the stage with artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Edwin McCain, John Mayer, Sugarland, The Outfield, and more. Mike's new album, “From Ulster To Appalachia," is a contemporary-sounding collection of Irish, Scottish, and American fiddle tunes. His previous release, “Virginia,” is an instrumental album dedicated to the history and natural beauty of Virginia.
