The Outsiders

In 1967, while attending Tulsa’s Will Rogers High School, sixteen year-old S. E. Hinton revolutionized the genre of the young adult novel with a heroic tale of friendship, loyalty and self-awareness amidst rivaling groups, the “Greasers” and the “Socs” – The Outsiders. By 1970, the book had skyrocketed to popularity and has since become a literary classic for middle school and high school readers. Now young Houstonians and their families have the rare opportunity to witness this masterpiece come to life at Main Street Youth Theater.
