About the Show
In Syncopation, Henry dreams of becoming a ballroom dancer. Anna yearns for a life of her own. However, the harsh realities of turn-of-the-century New York theaten to dash the hopes harbored by this middle-aged meat packer and disheartened young factory worker. When Anna answers Harry’s ad for a dance partner, the future seems within reach, but it will take more than a few turns around the dance floor to bring these partners into step, and dancing is only the beginning of what Henry and Anna have to learn.
