Promises, Promises

Main Street Theater begins its ninth season of presenting Musicals in Concert with the 1968 Neil Simon / Burt Bacharach / Hal David hit Promises, Promises. Based on the Oscar-winning screenplay for The Apartment by Billy Wilder, Burt Bacharach’s musical talent and Hal David’s lyrical gift produced the score which includes such standards as “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again” and “Promises, Promises,” in addition to the hilarious variety number “Turkey Lurkey Time.”
