About This Show

Main Street Theater celebrates its 30th birthday on September 16, 2005 with
its first Autumn Follies, a celebrity-studded, one-night-only benefit performance of a specially created musical theater piece.

Written to showcase the talents of the MST company with cameo appearances by former Houston Oiler Elvin Bethea, City Controller Annise Parker, PBS show’s “The After Party” host and sidekick Ernie Manouse and Doug Mueller, Constable Mae Walker, Houston Chronicle’s Ken Hoffman, VP/Community Relations at CenterPoint Energy, Sharon Michael Owens, attorney Rusty Hardin, and President of Rice University, David W. Leebron, “West Loop Story” who highlight an evening which features a silent and live auction and dinner catered by O’Rourke’s Steak House. The one-hour performance is followed by a champagne dessert buffet and dancing.
