About This Show

Can a human child live by the “Law of the Jungal”? Staged not in a jungle but on an urban jungle gym, Rudyard Kipling’s well-known stories get a modern twist in this award-winning adaptation. The ferocious tiger Sherakhan killed Mowgli’s parents, and Mowgli grows up wild and carefree. He learns Jungal Law from Baloo the bear, Bagheera the lone panther, Kaa the python and many others. In Jungalbook, a coming-of-age story performed by actors ages 8-14, Mowgli must confront Sherakhan to save the Jungal way of life, even if it means that Mowgli himself must leave Paradise and return to the Human village.
