Jishi

Jishi means “lion dance” inJjapanese, and is the exciting new project that features the music of John Edwards Ross, the Rosta Jazz Avengers and the film work of Laura Harrison. This jazz and media collaboration is not only inspierd by Asian influences — incorporating several traditional forms of music from Japan and from Korea — but will utilize instruments from all these cultures including the Korean double reed instrument the t’aep’yongso.
