Bird Brain is a multi-year navigational dance project that investigates migratory patterns and habits of birds and other animals, as well as biophysical and metaphorical relationships to humans as fellow travelers in the world. DiverseWorks in conjunction with the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Friends of Hermann Park and the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, brings to Houston Bird Brain. Directed by Bessie-Award winning choreographer Jennifer Monson, Bird Brain includes four inter-related components – free site specific public performances, panel discussions, workshops and a website that links the worlds of science/conservation and dance/art.
