About This Show

August Wilson’s Two Trains Running centers around a Pittsburgh soul-food joint in 1969, which is about to be demolished in the name of “urban renewal.” Its owner, Memphis, can either accept the offer on the table or hold out until he gets what he feels is a fair deal. The right deal would allow Memphis to correct a wrong in his life. The diner’s regulars, including a small-time hood and an obsessed simpleton, are each given a second chance and struggle with making the right choice. Willie Minor directs the production for the Irving Black Arts Council.
