Our story takes place at the classy, well, not so classy but exclusive, Armadillo Acres Trailer Park in Stark, Florida. The Divas of Double Wides or “Ladies” of this fine housing establishment have survived everything from kidnapping, to no good men, to some real bad perms and when Pippi, a stipper on the run, comes between agoraphobic housewife Jeannie and her toll booth collector husband Norbert, a storm begins to brew that shakes this manufactured community right down to their foundations. Big hearted and unashamedly vulgar, Betsy Kelso’s comic fable is about women and their no account men and can be compared to South Park meets Jerry Springer meets Best Little Whorehouse, set in Urinetown! With it’s show stopping music and take you back in time choreography you will leave laughing with that “evening well spent” feeling.
