New York City
Theatre Three’s 2003-2004 season concludes with the antic and charming comedy, Stones in His Pockets. Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn want to be in the movies. After a failed video store venture and a brief time in America, these two men are happy for the small salary and free food that comes with job as an extra in an American film set in Ireland. Charlie has written a script that he is desperate to have produced, but he can’t seem to get the attention of the director or the production assistant. Jake, however, has managed to get the unwanted attention of the beautiful American actress.
However, when tragedy strikes this close-knit town, Charlie and Jake re-examine their own hopes and pursuits, the ideals of the American Dream, and the nature of the movies they love so much.
