About This Show

Belmont College, a peaceful New England liberal arts college is powerfully disturbed by a terrifying racial incident on campus. Sarah Daniel, the Dean of Students, is trying to resolve the issue fairly, but other administrators, faculty, and the students conflict about the solutions that she offers. The entire situation ignites an intense inner conflict and causes Sarah to reexamine her career and her complicated feelings about racism. Spinning Into Butter is written by Rebecca Gilman, and directed by Jac Alder.

There will be a Wallet-Watcher performance on Sunday evening, February 24th, where all seats are $5.

There will be a special post-show discussion on February 17 after the 2:30pm matinee. Director Jac Alder has invited several Dallas area college administrators to see the show on this date, and Southern Methodist University?s Dr. Carole Brandt and Mountain View College?s Janice Franklin will moderate a discussion, which is open to the public.
