Lyric Stage is honored to present the world premiere of the newest musical from the creators of The Fantasticks. Oklahoma Indian Territory-born Lynn Riggs wrote two nostalgic plays about the western world of his youth. Green Grow The Lilacs, a story of the people who were willing and able to make the adjustment from the old west to new statehood, became Oklahoma . Roadside is the humorous tale of the people who did not make that journey, who chose instead to hold on to their old dreams of freedom and rugged individualism.
