About This Show

Based on the popular children’s book by Harry Allard and James Marshall, Miss Nelson is Missing is the fourth show of the children’s series presented by the Plano Repertory Theatre. Joan Cushing’s musical adaptation brings the unruly Classroom 207 at Horace B. Smedley Elementary School to the stage. Faced with a classroom of misbehaving students who never turn in homework and throw spitballs at each other, Miss Nelson suddenly disappears. Her substitute teacher, Miss Viola Swamp, is mean, mysterious and rules the classroom with an iron fist. She doesn’t read stories to the students, gives tons of homework and runs the classroom like a military camp. It isn’t until they are faced with the evil Miss Swamp that the students realize how much they miss the kind and gentle Miss Nelson.
