About This Show

PRT closes its 2005 season on a hilarious note with Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor. It’s the biggest night in the history of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. World famous Italian tenor Tito Morelli, known to his fans as “Il Stupendo,” is scheduled to sing the title role in Othello as part of a $50,000 fundraiser. Things unravel quickly when the star suddenly falls ill. But the show must go on! What follows is a three-ring circus of chaos, mayhem and general tomfoolery as these outrageous characters attempt to resolve a case of mistaken identity in this farce-de-résistance.

Lend Me a Tenor has been billed “Uproarious! Hysterical!” by USA Today.
