Lyric Stage, Dallas County’s only locally produced professional musical theater company, opens its twelfth season with the new two piano concert staging of Finian’s Rainbow.
Whether you believe in leprechauns or not, you will be enchanted by Finian’s Rainbow. The satirical story is surrounded by Burton Lane and Yip Harburg’s musical masterpieces “Old Devil Moon,” “How Are Things in Glocca Morra,” “Look to the Rainbow” and “If This Isn’t Love.” Lyric Stage’s production will be the first of the highly acclaimed two piano concert style FINIAN’S RAINBOW since its extended sold out run at Off Broadway’s Irish Repertory Theatre this season. E. Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy wrote the book for FINIAN’S RAINBOW and Charlotte Moore revised it in concert form.
Award winning regional director/choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge helms Lyric Stage’s production. Keith Critcher serves as musical director. Wade Giampa’s scenic design and Billie Boston’s costumes will be illuminated by Susan A. White’s lighting.
There is an additional matinee performance on Saturday, October 2 @ 2:30 PM.
