About This Show

Classical Acting Company presents Every Trick in the Book, directed by Regan Adair.

After her husband dies, Angele discovers the documented inventory of his indiscretions: a record he kept during the eight years of their marriage. The book has a title – ‘Vessels in the Night, or a Practical Guide for Unimaginative Husbands’ – and a table of contents. Armed with the book, to which she ceaselessly refers, the suspicious and dimwitted Angele is convinced that she knows every trick a roving husband can be up to. That means that her new husband Ribadier has to come up with a trick that is not in the book. And so he does, hypnotizing Angele so that he can run off to his mistress. When he returns, Angele is awakened.
At least that’s the plan.
