About This Show

This searing examination of the tragic theatre hits with cathartic power as three characters’ lives are turned inside out by the force of chaos in an all too-possible modern scenario. In Blasted, a middle-aged man and a young woman meet in an expensive hotel room while civil unrest erupts on the streets outside. Their personal conflict is interrupted when the outside world explodes into the room, and the line between the public and private arena blurs in this physically and psychologically raw work, which sparked a revolution in British Theatre.
