About This Show

Black Butterfly in Chloroform features the works and life of Bernardo Couto Castillo, a 21-year-old “enfant terrible”. A contemporary of Edgar Allen Poe, his writings revolve around the macabre and the mysterious.

This project is an artistic exchange with the Mexican Government. After the run in Irving, the entire play will be translated into Spanish and performed in Mexico City.
