After years of waiting for someone to bring this off-Broadway hit musical to the ATX, the gang at Doctuh Mistuh Productions finally said, "LET'S DO IT!" So, without further ado, we are proud to announce the Austin premiere of The Toxic Avenger. Following Lizzie, Doctuh Mistuh is proud to bring the off-Broadway hit, The Toxic Avenger to the Austin Playhouse stage. The Toxic Avenger is a musical by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan of Bon Jovi and is based on the cult film series of the same title from Troma films. The story follows Melvin Ferb, whom two hoodlums throw into a barrel of toxic waste; he emerges badly disfigured but possessing superhero strength. Toxic Avenger will feature Joey Banks as Toxie, Madi Sipe as his blind girlfriend, Leslie Hollingsworth as the evil Mayor and Melvin's mother, and Will Reynolds and Paul Sanchez taking on a multitude of the colorful New Jersey characters.
