Experience Cherokee Ranch from a perspective few guests ever have. Join Ranch & Land Manager Rafael Miranda for an exclusive horseback trail ride across the historic landscape of Cherokee Ranch & Castle. Ride through open ranchland, encounter the Santa Gertrudis cattle, and explore unique locations connected to the property’s rich history all while hearing stories from Rafael’s decades of caring for this remarkable land.

Follow trails once familiar to Tweet Kimball and experience the ranch much as she did: from horseback, immersed in the land, heritage, and working traditions of Cherokee Ranch.

• A private, guided trail ride with Ranch & Land Manager Rafael Miranda

• Exclusive access to areas of the ranch not typically open to visitors

• Catered picnic lunch and refreshments at the historic 1933 Picnic House

What to Expect

• Private guided horseback ride with Ranch & Land Manager Rafael Miranda

• Approximately 7‑hour experience (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

• Travel through the heart of the 3,441‑acre ranch, including areas not typically accessible to visitors

• Expansive, panoramic views of Cherokee Ranch, including rolling grasslands, dramatic rock formations, and sweeping vistas of the Front Range

• Views of the Santa Gertrudis cattle and working ranch landscape

• Stops at select historic and significant locations

• Stories about Tweet Kimball, Cherokee Ranch history, ranching traditions, wildlife, and land stewardship

• Picnic lunch and refreshments at the historic 1933 Picnic House

Rider Requirements

• Riders must provide their own horses

• Riders must bring all necessary tack and riding equipment

• Appropriate attire required: long pants, closed‑toe secure footwear, and riding‑appropriate clothing

• Weather‑appropriate layers, sun protection, and water are recommended

• Minimum rider age: 18+

• Riders must follow all instructions from Rafael and designated riding staff

Guest Responsibilities

• Wear long pants and closed‑toe, secure footwear appropriate for horseback riding

• Bring weather‑appropriate layers, sun protection, and water

• Follow all instructions provided by ranch staff

• Complete and sign all required liability waivers before the ride

• Participation is subject to weather, trail conditions, horse availability, and ranch staff discretion

Waiver Requirement

Signed waiver forms are required for ALL land events.
All participants must complete and submit the required liability waivers prior to the start of the ride. Riders without completed waivers cannot participate.
