New York City
Village Theatre closes the 2004-2005 Season with Meredith Willson’s The Music Man, the classic that features such tunes like “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Lida Rose,” “Trouble,” and “Till There Was You.” Harold Hill comes to River City to sell the town on the dangers of pool and the virtues of music, plying their hearts in hopes of pocketing their cash. The clever but cloistered town librarian sees right through this flim-flam man, and sets about debunking his scam. But, of course, neither of them expects to fall in love…
The cast features Eric Englund as Harold Hill. Englund returns to Village Theatre after seven years in New York City. Beth DeVries plays Marian. Also in the cast are John X. Deveney, Laura Kenny, Hugh Hastings, Greg Michael Allen, Ellen McLain, Bobbi Kotula, and others.
There will be additional performances on selected Sunday evenings at 7pm.
