Scott Warrender’s latest musical, The January Book, is classic Warrender – full of humor and ingenuity. However, there are weightier thematic undertones that serve to develop the plot as the cast and story jump through four different time periods spanning over one hundred years.
As the story begins, eight characters share the same space on stage in the January Inn. Like most vacation spots, the old hotel on the coast of Maine is a place for renewal and transformation. As all eight characters develop we learn how each has been drastically affected by their time spent in the January Inn.
