About This Show

One day you wake up and find out that all of the world’s religions had got it almost right, and the hierarchy of being is simple: there are humans, Messengers, and Others. A child is born of a Messenger and a human woman a child so special that he has an immediate understanding of all languages and cultures. He becomes the world’s first universal citizen, beloved by all nations. On the day Citizen turns 30, there is an “accident” — Citizen goes from being the world’s beloved to its betrayer overnight.

George, an unknown, third-rate movie critic, is bizarrely chosen to interview Citizen, and tries to untangle the usually simple reporter’s questions of who, what, where, when, and why — as well as that most human of questions, why me? A Eulogy for Citizen is a poetic and compelling story about what might happen if we were to learn the truth about religion, about our place in the universe, and what might happen if an actual savior was born among us.
