The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a tale of
oddballs coming together over a shared love of spelling. This musical touches
on what it means to be alienated, proudly decrying the importance of finding
community not despite, but because of that alienation. 

With the incredible Lillian Joiner as Rona Peretti and the
terrific Sky Beard-Armbruster as Vice Principal Panch, the Bee itself is a
hilarious event. Please note: audience participation is mandated. Joking,
joking. Optional, audience participation is optional. 

Three lucky audience members will take the stage along with
six charming spellers—adolescent Chip Tolentino played by the dazzling Luke
Williams, homeschooled Leaf Coneybear by the remarkable Jake Betancourt,
perfectionist Marcy Park by the spectacular Amelia Checketts, overparented
Logainne Schwartzandgrunenierre by the sesquipedalian Chloe Minor, under
parented Olive Ostrovsky by the phenomenal Adora Bricher, and last, but
certainly not least, noted germophobe William Barfée (not Barfee!) by the
musicaliciously excellent Santiago Frazer.

As the spellers would be quick to remind you, not everyone
can win. Those with the misfortune to hear the bell will be comforted by the
Bee's very own Comfort Counselor, Mitch Mahoney, played by the inimitable
Kameron Flowers in the evenings and by the outstanding Emily Hines for the
matinee. The stupendous Antonio Luna will be playing Vice Principal Panch for
the matinee as well.

volunteer after reading all that blather, please arrive 20 minutes before the
show time to be considered.

Ticket Prices:
General Admission: $17 (Plus $2 online convenience fee)
VIP Ticket: $30 (Plus $2 online convenience fee. Seating in the first two
center rows.)

All seating is general admission unless otherwise noted. For all performances, there is limited late seating once the performance begins. Please plan your arrival time accordingly.
