Maine's own DaPonte String Quartet has been inspiring audiences for more than three decades with performances of exceptional artistry and passion. Internationally acclaimed while proudly based in Maine, the ensemble has become one of the state's premier cultural ambassadors, bringing world-class chamber music to communities throughout New England and far beyond.

This season marks an exciting new chapter with the addition of acclaimed violinist Philipp Elssner, joining longtime members Lydia Forbes (violin), Kirsten Monke (viola), and Myles Jordan (cello). Together, these four extraordinary musicians bring fresh energy and remarkable artistry to every performance.
