2015 POP Tour: The Astronaut Farmworker

La Jolla Playhouse is pleased to present its 2015 Performance Outreach Program (POP) Tour, an annual touring production for young people. This year’s show, The Astronaut Farmworker is a story about a boy who dreamed of reaching the stars. He was from a family of farmworkers; people who harvest the crops we eat, who toil under the hot sun for long hours. And although they were paid very little, his family was rich… with love and dreams. Loosely based on the true story of a NASA astronaut, this is one family’s story of determination and destiny and a boy who set out to achieve the impossible.
