In an ICU, two sisters and their mother confront dire news: the youngest, Piper, is on life support after an overdose. Decisions need to be made. As the night unfolds, buried resentments, dark humor, and long-held secrets surface. Part family drama, part meditation on what addiction does to relationships, The Good One is rooted in the gritty details of love and loss: the messy, the funny, the poignant, and the unexpected.
