‘Twas the Night

Azuka Theatre presents the return of last year’s zany take on a beloved Christmas poem, ‘Twas the Night. Here’s the scene: a local television station, W-KRIS, is getting ready to tape a reading of the poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas.” Moments before they are about to begin, the crew is told the poem has to be performed LIVE. They scramble to portray all the characters, including a reindeer, on the spot. All of the action of the show is seen not only by the “studio audience,” but by a “T.V. audience” as well. A live camera operates during the show, so that audiences are treated to not only what is happening in the studio, but what unsuspecting TV viewers are seeing at home.
