About This Show

What does belonging mean when you’re forced to leave the land of your birth? Mae Swe—Burmese for “my friend”—explores the mystery, beauty, and turmoil of Burma, as seen through the eyes of Burmese refugees, immigrants, students, missionaries, and travelers now in the Lehigh Valley. Combining storytelling, theatre, song, and movement, Mary Wright weaves a tale of home and homeland.
