About This Show

Madame Ranevskaya is Russian-born actor/director Yury Belov’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard. The plot lines are identical, and the characters – who are descendants of The Cherry Orchard’s Ranevskaya family – experience the same events and emotions as their ancestors, now 100 years later. The action takes place in modern-day North Carolina on a daffodil farm, and this adaptation explores the comedic side of Chekhov’s play. 1812 Productions presents this full production following their workshop last February.

Opening night on Wednesday, May 8 begins at 7:00pm.
