About This Show

The Bristol Riverside Theatre presents Holiday by Philip Barry. The story of a hard working young man who is engaged to a girl of great wealth and social standing. He soon realizes that his fiancé values accumulating money over and above his personal misgivings about entering big business. At their gala New Year’s Eve engagement party the two realize their views are too divergent. What happens next is what makes this heartwarming holiday play a classic. The 1938 film version of this play made Katherine Hepburn a star.
