About This Show

The fabulous myth of Eva Peron – bit actress, mistress and wife to Argentine dictator Juan Peron and saint on Earth to Argentina’s “shirtless ones” – is brilliantly dissected by Time Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber in the hit musical Evita. A collage of Eva’s rise to power and her early death, the show is a look at a woman loved by the poor, hated by the rich and powerful and not above taking matters into her own capable hands. The incomparable Bethe B. Austin stars as Evita. Edward Keith Baker directs.
