The Tempest

Elemental spirits lurk and the air shimmers with enchantment on Prospero’s island. His royal title usurped, Prospero and his young daughter, Miranda, washed up on its shores 12 years earlier. Since then, the exiled duke has brooded on the injustice done to him, as he has mastered the art of magic. At last, Fate places the architects of his downfall within his grasp. In the charmed crucible of Shakespeare’s farewell masterpiece, Prospero conjures a storm that will transform ancient enemies, innocent lovers and the great magician himself.Each show in the Oregon Shakespeare festival performs in repertory.
