Singin’ in the Rain

An American tradition and the ultimate movie musical, Singin’ In The Rain is without a doubt the one show recognized throughout the world as an example of Hollywood at its best. The stage version of Singin’ In The Rain is about making movies, and specifically brings to life the period when Hollywood was making the change over from silent films to “talkies.” The plot not only lovingly mocks the Hollywood that was, but also the long loved conventions of the boy-meets-girl musicals that studios produced in the late 20s and early 30s.
