The Actors Collective — Advanced Acting class provides seasoned actors with a challenging, collaborative environment focused on deepening technique, expanding range, and refining performance skills for stage and screen.

• Scene Study with Depth: Intensive work on complex, layered scenes from contemporary and classical texts. Emphasis on emotional truth, subtext, and dynamic choices.

• Character Development: Advanced strategies for building fully realized characters rooted in psychological, physical, and emotional truth.

• Text Analysis & Research: reading techniques to uncover objectives, tactics, and thematic resonance — including how to quickly apply research to inform character choices.

• Audition Prep: High-level cold reading and audition preparation, with feedback geared toward professional readiness.

• Performance Choices & Risk-Taking: Exploration of bold artistic choices, nuanced stakes, and ensemble interaction.

• Improvisation for Insight: Improvisational exercises that enhance spontaneity, listening, adaptability, and creative risk.

Who This Class Is For
This workshop is ideal for experienced actors — including those who have completed 2 sessions of our Actors Collective Acting class training, have theatrical and/or on-camera experience, or are pursuing conservatory, professional theatre, TV/film, or graduate acting programs. Students should be comfortable with foundational technique and ready for rigorous, performance-focused challenges.
