Papermill Playhouse presents the 1964 Broadway hit musical based on the life of Fanny Brice. Funny Girl highlights the comedienne’s explosive rise to stardom and roller coaster romance with renowned professional gambler Nicky Arnstein. Music is by Jule Styne, with lyrics by Bob Merrill and book by Isobel Lennart. Songs include “People,” “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” and “I’m the Greatest Star.” Leslie Kritzer and Robert Cuccioli star as Fanny and Nicky.
There is an added performance on Tuesday, April 10 at 8pm, and Wednesday matinees April 11, May 9, and May 16 at 2pm.
