An Evening with Primus

Primus formed in the late ’80s in Northern California, releasing their first album, Suck On This, in 1989. Fusing the rhythmic attack of progressive-rock bands like Rush, the groove of funk and hippie rock, and the eccentricity of such experimental artists as Frank Zappa, the Residents, and Captain Beefheart, Primus has followed its own musical calling to large-scale industry success.
