About This Show

The American Place Theatre in partnership with the Museum of the City of New York presents a Zora Celebration. Come experience the Queen of the Harlem Renaissance, Zora Neale Hurston, and the extraordinary history of this vibrant neighborhood. This one-night only evening includes APT’s Literature to Life at Night production of the award winning, Zora, based on a theatrical biography by Laurence Holder, performed by Kim Brockington, and directed by the distinguished co-Founder/Artistic Director of The American Place Theatre, Wynn Handman.

Also included is a guided tour of the MCNY exhibit Harlem Lost and Found celebrating the rich architectural history of Harlem. Catering is provided by Spoonbread, Inc. with special thanks to Norma Jean Darden.
