Zoom: Composers Close Up

Get a rare glimpse at the further reaches of Annie Gosfield’s work with Zoom: Composers Close Up. The event features Gosfield’s chamber music as well as a performance by her band. The program includes the world premiere of a chamber concerto written for cellist Felix Fan and performed by an ensemble of New York’s finest new music specialists, as well as a new work for pianist Blair Mcmillen, and a piece for violin and satellite sounds. “EWA7,” a site-specific work originally composed for a factory in Nuremberg, Germany, is performed by Gosfield (sampler), Roger Kleier (electric guitar) and Ches Smith (drums).
