About This Show

Composer Galt MacDermot conducts his newly arranged concert version of the songs from this 1971 Tony-award-winning musical Two Gentlemen of Verona (with lyrics by John Guare) based on the Shakespearean comedy. Some of Broadway’s most exciting performers will be featured. Noted playwright and lyricist John Guare joins the panel discussion.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim was founded in 1984 by Mary Sharp Cronson. It is an ongoing performing arts series that investigates the creative process by presenting new works followed by discussion of the work in hand.
