About This Show

Isabel Rose, star and writer of the film Anything But Love and author of the upcoming Doubleday novel The J.A.P Chronicles, presents The Single Life. The cabaret is an evening of stories and songs about her adventures in the single scene, directed by Carl Andress with musical direction by Jeff Klitz. Bringing her unique blend of pop, jazz, cool and sass, Isabel delivers a delicious hour of energized entertainment accompanied by a hard-swinging five-piece band, reimagining everything from Broadway standards like “You’ve Got Possiblities” to Pat Benetar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” as she takes you along on her journey for Mr. Right.

Dave Kehr of The New York Times says, “Ms. Rose can indeed sing, and her renditions of the standards have appealing warmth and sincerity.”
