The Plank Project

Written by the writer of “Avenue Q,” Jeff Whitty, and directed by Erk Sniedze, The Plank Project is read by the original cast on Monday, January 26th as a benefit for Everybody Wins, a children’s literacy charity. The play takes a broad satirical poke at “documentary theater”, mimicking the earnest presentational style of “The Laramie Project” and “The Exonerated”. Six zealous actors travel to rural Plank, Washington to explore the tragic life of Abby Storch, a reclusive 1,100-pound transvestite who fell down a well, causing an international sensation.
