About This Show

England’s The FIXX is one of the most innovative and unique bands to come out of the MTV-era. The group’s lyrics and melodies are artistic statements of both darkness and light; aural soundscapes that are cerebral yet able to touch the heart. The FIXX’s themes are complex, oft-times introspective and thought provoking, and yet their musical legacy has appealed to the masses with three #1, five Top 5, a dozen Top 10 hits, countless soldout tours and millions of albums sold worldwide.

The signature sound of The FIXX is instantly recognizable; songs like “One Thing Leads To Another” and “Saved By Zero” remain staples not just with 80’s radio stations, but on modern rock formats that have helped break such new wave-inspired acts as Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. The FIXX, with its original lineup of lead vocalist Cy Curnin, Jamie West-Oram on lead guitar, Rupert Greenall on keyboards and drummer Adam Woods still intact, hooked up with respected bass guitarist Gary Tibbs (Adam & The Ants, Roxy Music) at the end of 2001, rounding out the band’s current incarnation.
