The Christmas Revels

The Christmas Revels celebrates the Holiday season by bringing a unique form of music theater in celebration of the Winter Solstice. Revels turns to Elizabethan England to inspire the 2005 Christmas Revels. This year’s show is built around the figure of Will Kemp, an irreverent and brilliantly talented clown from Shakespeare’s company and the young Queen Elizabeth I, a powerful woman calling for peace and justice. With direction by Scott Shattuck and music director Cynthia Shaw, the cast will consist of 80 adults, children, renaissance musicians, dancers, storytellers and more.
